Welcome to my website, welcome to my first blog. If you’ve come across me inadvertently then big welcome to you.o many subject matters and areas of interest.... In one of my moments of inspiration a few weeks ago I wrote this. So a good one to start with.. As I said, it was a few weeks ago when I was observing signs of life everywhere. Daffodils, crocuses, bluebells. Wild garlic, cleavers, nettles.

I picked some myself some young nettles to make some tea. If you think about it, nature in its infinite wisdom gives us little hints and little nudges. You know? Plants spring up when we need them. Cleavers cleanse the system. At this time of year they’re everywhere. Lightly crushed/ mashed with a pestle and placed in a jug of water overnight allowing them time to infuse. Pour yourself a glass and sip, wonderfully refreshing and cleansing.

Nettles too have amazing properties. Make yourself some tea or soup. Here’s some evidence-based info I sourced from www.healthline.com about some of the benefits of nettles:

They contain vitamin A, C and K, and minerals including calcium, iron and magnesium. Many of which have an antioxidant effect in our bodies, defending our cells against free radicals linked to aging, cancer and other harmful diseases. And in addition to that, may reduce inflammation, reduce enlarged prostrate symptoms, lower blood pressure and more. Get the picture? Good stuff readily available to us.  Take a look around, seasonal eating and drinking will supply you with what you and your body needs, when you need it. As nature intended....
